MC 3031 Introduction

Hi, my name is Taylor Ward. I am a sophomore mass communication major with a concentration in digital advertising and a minor in business at LSU. I am from Atlanta, Georgia. An interesting fact about myself is that I skipped second grade. When I first got to LSU, I was a business management major with a minor in biological sciences. I thought I wanted to go to dental school. I quickly realized that I wanted to choose a different career path. I believe that majoring in mass communication was a great decision and definitely the best fit for me. After making the switch, not only have I been successful academically but I am actually enjoying my classes. After working for the LSU football recruiting staff my sophomore year, I realized that I wanted a career in sports. I wanted to find a way to combine my love for advertising and marketing with professional sports, My ultimate goal is to own my own sports marketing firm. I am looking forward to this semester in MC 3031 because I am excited to practice creating our very own advertising campaign. This course will give me valuable practice and experience and force me to be creative.
